Donal's Camino

Walk to Castet Aloure. up early, no breakfast provided so off to the Boulangerie for a coffee and a Pan o chocolat and off on a hot days walk but it wasn,t too hard. Castet Aloure is a little village with little in it but the Communal Gite run by the Maire. When I got there all the names of those who had reserved were written up on the door and they were able to go in and claim their bed. I had reserved but my name was not written up. The other Pellerens advised me to just go in and claim a bed and later on sort it out at reception when it opened at 5.30, which I did and there was no problem.

No dinner was provided and a lot of us went to the local Restaurant and had Dinner there for 15 euro. Pork salad for Starters, bacon and chips for the main, with red or rose wine and a lovely Almond tart for Desert.

And so to bed and the usual sound sleep.

FOOTNOTE ADDED IN JANUARY.
THIS WAS THE DAY THAT I INJURED MY BACK. WHEN I READ BACK THROUGH MY ACCOUNT OF THE DAY I NOTED THAT I MADE NO MENTION OF THE TWINGE THAT I GOT IN MY BACK. I DIDNT REALIZE THEN HOW BAD IT WAS. IT WAS THE NEXT MORNING THAT I REALIZED THAT I WAS IN TROUBLE ANDIN GREAT PAIN.
