Donal's Camino Walk
Today I miscalculated my walk. I had planned to do 22.5 km but the walk was in fact 30.5 km. It was an extremely hot day and only that I was looked after by fellow camino walkers, who organised a bed at twenty km I might have had to walk the 30.5 km which would have meant that I would have got in late for dinner and completely exhausted. Tonight Im staying in a beautiful house and we all have our own rooms. We are a group that were in the last house as well. They walk much faster than I do but we walk the same distance c. 20km.
Today's walk was one hard slog and the scenery, for once was not good. It was also the hottest day so far which made walking difficult.
Had dinner in the garden tonight. Starter was a tomato salad, the tomatoes from the owners garden, followed by pork chops and rice and a desert Fromage Blanc and stewed apple.We also had figs from the garden.
