Donal's Camino Walk
My day off. Denise arranged that I would be collected and myself and my Rucksack would be transported to another village where I would relax for the day. This I am now doing after looking around the village and getting stamps for more Postcards to send home. All of you who read my Blog will know that I am having problems connecting to the Internet so that my blog is away behind schedule, although when you read this hopefully it wont be too far behind.
in France every place closes between 12.00 and 3.00 so at around three o clock Ill go out and buy some more postcards to keep people up to date on how Im getting on.
Today I stay in a hotel, Le Lion D'Or. I have my own En Suite room so its a bit of luxury for me tonight.
I am now booked into places to stay until the end of the month, courtesy of Denise. She really is a star and she is going to help carry some of my excess weight as well.
Had a really nice dinner with a pichet of red wine. Starter of a Rochamadour Salad- I think- which consisted of a salad with a kind of baked Goats cheese tart and it was lovely. This was followed by Duck in a lovely sauce with veg and a desert of for me a Profiterole with a lovely carmel sauce inside it and Denise had a Creme Brulee. We were the only two pilgrims in the hotel that night
